Has anybody added these to their Armada? I am going with 20" wheels, and have 2 choices the Toyo Open Country AT and the Terra Grapplers And yes I do go offroad and tow my boat, so the 20" wheels are my preference for my needs.

Toyo owns Nitto and they are basically the same tires except for sidewalls. Someone once posted they thought they had different compounds but I haven't verified that. ;)

I was hoping you would have some input, I love your set up and am kind of copying it, take it as a compliment. I am looking at 305/55/20 tires not real sure of the difference between 305/50/20, also 20 X 8.5 or 20 X 9, The dealer had some of the Toyos on some Panther wheels that looked great, these were on a Titan. Here is a picture of the wheels, what do you think?

Thanks. I like those wheels.
You want 20x9. They make the tires bulge/pucker less and are the right width for 305. Nitto recommends 8.5"-10.5" for the 305-50 and 9"-10" for the 305-55 with 9.5" optimal for both. As for the difference between 305-50-20 and 305-55-20, the sidewall is 6.7" vs. 6.1". Stock is 7.4". The overall diameter is 33.4" vs 32.2". Stock is 32.8". I had to melt the fender well to make mine fit without scraping but I wanted bigger instead of smaller.

Love the setup and good luck with what you pick.

My Goodyear's have had it after only about 20k- I'm going to upgrade to the 305/50/20 I think. I don't want to have to mod the truck to get tires to fit.

How quiet are those Toyo's? And tripleblack, do you get any whirring noises from those Nitto's? I'd like something with great grip, but as quiet as possible. The new Goodyear's with the kevlar layer look very exciting, but they don't make a 305/50/20 as far as I know...

I was looking at the Hankook Ventus. They're supposed to be excellent in the rain, have great treadlife and low noise.

Same level of noise as the stock continentals. It is actually more quiet than my Infiniti G35 with Bridgestone Pole positions. ;) Go with 305/55/20. They fit. :D
