04 SE 4x4. Does anyone have a problem with their tranny makeing a loud thud or clanking noise when they shift into drive or reverse after the Truck has been driven for a while At first it only did it if I parked in my driveway that has a very slight incline. Now it does it even in flat surfaces. I always make sure the Truck is completely stopped before I change gears and the brake peddal is all the way down when I shift. It is also starting to do it when I go into Park sometimes.

Anyone else?

Nope. Only when its preloaded from parking on an incline with no E brake. Quiet as a mouse otherwise.

you may have the rear axle bolt problem. Thare's a TSB on this. Mine have been 'fixed" twice.
