Is this the transaxel? Do I remove the top bolt, then bottom, let drain. Put bottom bolt on, fill top bolt hole until liquid comes out. Tighten bolt. Using gear oil.

This sound right?

That would be the transfer case. Nissan sells “their” t-case fluid at almost $100/qt which is is absurd. Nothing magical about “their” branded fluid.

I’ve been using Ravenol DTF-1 (J1C11125) for the t-case, along with their gear oils for the F&R differentials.

I did the differentials with amsoil. Amsoil has nothing listed for the trans case. Am I correct on the filler hole and drain hole?

Yes, you’re correct on the fill and drain hex bolts.
