Hello all! My GOD it's been a long time since I've visited the site... I think I was member #2 or #3 a year ago! Glad to see so many new faces around here!

I drove an '06 FX35 the other day - and I may be picking one up for my wife. Those headlights in that thing were KILLER. I've GOTTA have it for my Armada. Does anyone know of a kit that adds true Xenon capability to the lights on the Armada?

Thanks!!! :excellent

Those are HID lights, not "true Xenon". Xenon is just a gas. You can put it into any bulb and call them Xenon bulbs. Thjey will give you the color, but not the extra light. HID is High Intensity Discharge. Totally different. Much more light. Burtman has some kits you can use. Be aware, HID lights are currently illegal to install into non HID vehicles unless you have the proper housing. A HID housing has deflectors inside it that Halogens don't have. They don't make the housing for Armadas. You can get the light, but you may also get a ticket. ;)

Welcome back!

Man, it's been a long time since I've seen that avatar pop up- where have you been?

I'll agree with Triple, HID are where it's at. The xenon's aren't worth it. I had some on my Tahoe and although they looked cool, they actually didn't light up as well as the stock bulbs.

Yes, I have a very good write-up here and I searched high and low for a good system to offer. This kit really is great. Yes, I can get another kit that's much less money, but I will not sell an inferior product. I just like to show and sell the best as my name is at stake.

Check out this link, and the many choices.

Price has just been reduced from $399 to $355!!! Kit is 100% all Japan made, not china.

This also includes 1 yr warranty on the bulbs and the 2 yrs on the ballasts, which not many, if any will offer.

Also, go here to see the install from our forum owner, m4ck:

HOW TO - HID CONVERSION KIT (BurtmanIndustries)
(m4ack chose to remove the headlights to hide the ballasts. You don't have to do it this, and if you don't install is much easier because you can mount the ballasts anywhere)

If you don't need the top/best kit like above, we have other kits that are less expensive (china), call, email, or PM, if you want more info

Do we need to make adjustment on the headlights with HID kits? I am just afraid the HID will be too bright and will blind all the incoming traffic, especially our trunk is pretty tall.
Any comment?
Not with this kit. I've had many happy customers installing this kit in their Armada and Titan (which has same headlights as Armada)

I now have HID for the foglights.
I have HID lows, Highs and Fog. Just bought an extra set of headlight assemblies off eBay and some Infiniti M45 HID OEM to retro, ie pdiddy. I do have to adjust the low beams, they appear a lil low to be effective.

I hope this isn't a stupid question, but I have to ask for better understanding. Essentially, I can buy a HID conversion kit and use it my current headlight housing?

The low beams are aimed low because they are meant to not blind oncoming traffic. The area the factory setting hits is much brighter than stock, and covers the same area as the stock lights. By aiming them upward, it increases the light you have on the road, but also increases the chances of hitting oncoming traffic with your lights and chances you get a ticket. The high beams are meant to shine down the road more, not the lows.

As for adjusting the tilt off factory to lower impact to oncoming traffic, the opposite of above, no you don't because the angle the lights shine doesn't change. It has the same appearance oncoming as a QX in terms of brightness and impact of the light thanks to the diffusers in the low beams. The high beams are much brighter due to the lack of diffusers but again these should only be used when there is no oncoming traffic. ;)
