Here's the part numbers, description, and prices if you want to add skid plates to your Armada. Nissan doesn't call them skid plates so they may not know what your talking about till you show them a picture if you go to your local dealer and have them pull up the frame assembly in their computer. I don't have a price on the oil pan skid plate because mine came with one.

I have the LE 4wd and added a fuel tank skid plate and the transfer case skid plate. Like I said above, my LE came with an oil pan skid plate already but I threw in the part number below in case you don't have one. I think all the skid plates come standard on the "Off Road" version Armada. I figured since our tanks are plastic, the added protection from road debris would minimize the chance of rupturing the tank which is highly unlikely but then if the shields are available, it never hurts to make it safer.

I bought the stuff at Mossy Nissan Oceanside. Ask for Frank and he'll know what you need. Greg V. works there too.

All the skid plates use the same bolts.

Bolt p/n 01121-06561 $2.49 (Ouch)

Cover Assy Fuel p/n 50890-7S000 $56.27 you need 4 bolts.

Cover Transmission (for Transfer Case 4x4 only) p/n 50884-7S000 $18.00 you need 5 bolts.

Oil Pan Cover p/n 50842-7S000 Price ?? you need 4 bolts.

Thanks for doing the research. This is something I'd like to add to the truck - like you said, it is cheap insurance.

I'm guessing that these are simple bolt-ons and that all the mounts are already in place on the truck.

Amazing how the actual skid plate is about the same price, or less, than the cost of the bolts!

Yeah you should have all the existing locations. The nuts are pre welded inside the box frame. It took me less than 20 minutes to install both fuel and transfer case plates. On the fuel plate, you have to push the rear brake cables over a bit above the rear driveline to get the plate leg under them to secure it with a bolt. Not hard at all and is the only little obstacle.

Just called the local dealer Lou Fusz Nissan in St. Louis and they had no clue on these plates. Strike Three for them.

Has anyone ordered these online and had them shipped? I was concerned about high shipping rates.

I gotta do this :) Want all 3 plates. Awesome prices given above, but I'll try to do better at a wrecker today. Does anyone know if anything changed on the frames from 05 to 08? ie are plates interchangeable any year? thanks

well, no luck at 3 big wreckers in Phoenix - although I still like an occasional stroll around a scrap yard, it is just interesting to look at all the heaps, mostly big 3. Pinnacle Nissan gave me prices, the gas tank skid plate has gone up again. Here they are for anybody else who is interested:
Bolt 01121-06561 $1.00
Cover Assy Fuel 50890-7S000 $139.12
Cover Transmission (for Transfer Case 4x4 only) 50884-7S000 $17.65
Oil Pan Cover 50842-7S000 $20.52

So I figure $190.29 for all 3 with bolts, plus tax. Not bad I think, guess I'll order on Monday (they are not in stock). Any advise to the contrary before I go for it?

yippy, my order arrived. I got them mounted today after getting my little tail gate boo boo fixed http://www.clubarmada.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12211

Dave in parts at Pinnacle Nissan gave me "internet prices":
Bolts 01121-06561 $0.75 each
Cover Assy Fuel 50890-7S000 $104.34 needs 4 bolts
Cover Transmission (for Transfer Case 4x4 only) 50884-7S000 $13.24 needs 5 bolts
Oil Pan Cover 50842-7S000 $15.39 needs 4 bolts

However, turned out my LE already had the oil cover. So if any LE owners are thinking of adding plates, check first.

So for two plates and 9 bolts I paid $124.33 plus tax. Bolted on very easily, just had to tweak one parking brake cable away from sharp edge of bracket on fuel tank plate, as an earlier poster above mentioned. My first mod complete on the new toy :) A pretty decent price for some extra protection "just in case" - I recommend it to anyone with the LE who plans to take it off pavement (heck as mentioned by OP that fuel plate is good insurance against highway hazards for the plastic tank).

I was under the impression that the LE 4x4 came with all the skid plates - is it just the oil? Even though I never plan to go off road, this may be a worth while mod.
Nope, only the SE off road comes with all three skid plates. My LE had one under the oil pan. I continue to believe it was money well spent for the two plates. If nothing else, as someone noted early in this thread the plate under fuel tank is good protection against road debris hitting the plastic tank.

Thanks for the info. Although I will admit I am always cursing the oil skid when I change the oil ;)

I may have to look at this mod when it warms up.
