Has anyone seen the new Volant G3? Do you guys know if there is the optional air scoop available for this model. I know it is available for the G2. Also the G3 has an aluminum top. Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't aluminum conduct heat more so than plastic?

It's actually a sheet metal top. Look for my post. I have it installed. There is a provision for a cold air intake. Mine came with a rubber boot to plug the hole if I don't have a CAI.

Can't wait to install it.

WIll think about Borla dual exhaust followed by some new 22 inch rims later when the wallet is a bit thicker.

I am in the process of purchasing a Volant, How could I know if it is a GEN2 or 3, do they all have the aluminum lid?

order it from socal and ask for the gen3. tony is very familiar with the product. good luck. you will also need new exhaust system to maximize hp increase. I like the dual pipe look so i hope maybe by christmas i can order one. i traded my v8 touareg for the armada and i am glad i did.
