I just picked up an 06 Majestic Blue LE last week and awaiting it's delivery from Honolulu. It needs to be shipped to me here in Maui via barge. What tire size are you running with your 22" wheels? And what offset are your wheels. Any pictures of your wheel setups and the problems and/ or solutions the comes with it will be a welcome help here. I can't wait to drive My ARMADA!!!!

305/45/22 is the best size for the 22's and offer the biggest sidewall for a better ride than a skinny 35 or 40 series tire.

I've heard that there are some rubbing problems with that tire size 305/45/22. Or is there a certain wheel offset you gotta stick with to avoid the problems?

As long as your offset is correct you should have now rubbing issues what-so-ever. I have no rubbing issues with my 305/45/22's....rims are Zinik Sabini's, 22 x 9.5, +15mm offset. Here is a link to my post with them on the Mada.

ezemaxima,

My setup: (pics in profile)
285/45R-22 Nitto NT420S

22x9.5 6x139.7 35mm offset ADR Maximus wheels.

I first went with the popular tire size here for 22's, which is 305/45/22.

But the +35mm wheel offset the tires rubbed on the back of the wheel well. I also *barely* noticed the tires were slightly taller than stock when I drove it but it's a non issue. Other notes, the 285/45's vs 305/45's are narrower so then have a lower 45 sidewall which make them shorter & so no rubbing for my wheel choice. Overall, I actually preferred the 285's for a sportier vs pimped look.

Luckily since the local America's Tire ordered chrome instead of silver painted wheels I had a chance to test drive overnight then reorder the tires as well. I almost ordered door-to-door, that would've been bad also because I forgot the pressure sensor swap which they also did for me.

Ahhh, Maui...must be nice.

Jay
