I'm not talking about the gay change your pads and turn your rotors TSB. I'm talking about the rolling recall one with all new calipers and larger front rotors.

I remember two people on here that had this done, just wondering how the fix is holding up and how I should ask my dealer for the real fix and not the cheap ass TSB one. Thanks! :D

Me

I've had the permanent fix installed, and so far no problems at all. I'm at just over 1k on the new fix. There's less brake dust, and it stops very smooth. Pedal travel has increased just slightly since I picked it up, but it's still ok.

The only reason I got this fix before it was released was that I filed a lemon law claim in my state and was kicked to Nissan Arbitration. They sent the parts and paid a month of my loan.

From what he told me, the fix was supposed to be out by the end of this month. We'll see I guess. Hang in there!

Hmm...

There was another guy on here from San Diego I think that also had it done. But he wasn't part of a lemon law or anything. I wonder if my dealer knows about it, or can get the new parts.....or should I just wait until it shows up as a real TSB on the Nissan site?

adjmcloon did they replaced the calipers too?? my dealer never mentioned anything about new calipers. only rotors some pins or clips (whatever they're called) the bolts to tie down the calipers and pads. if that's it i'm having that done as i'm typing

I got the new rotors, calibers, and pads too. 1,000 miles and still smooth. I got cut off twice since then and it's amazing how fast this Armada can stop.
The new brake setup is for sure better stopping power than the original stock.

Nissan better figure out the door rattles soon before I rip the damn doors off.

Other than that, love my ride!

I had the real brake job done at the end of January. New pads, calipers, larger rotor, etc... 100% better. No more vibrations from braking and the stopping power is much better. I don't know about anyone else, but prior to the brake job, I always felt like I wasn't stopping in time and might rear end someone. I've had large vehicles most of my life and have never consistently felt that way before. But, with the new brake job, I now feel a lot more stopping power. Maybe it's just a mental thing, who knows.

Door rattles??!!!!

I tried the felt door trim thing and it did not work for me. My driver door was in the armrest. Whenever I pushed down just a little, it went away. When my Armada was in to get the ass end repainted (bad metallic from the start), they replaced my driver's arm rest....not a noise in the last week!!! Keeping my fingers crossed.
