I looked a bit for a thread covering this and round nothing, please point me in the right direction of you know.

So I have a 06 QX and I replaced front struts with Detroit Axles (Being in a pinch), those lifted the front ride almost 2 inches and I hate it, I'm afraid to replace them again and have the same thing happen. Do you guys know of a loaded strut that I can buy that will return me to stock hight?

And what is the Bilstien model of shock and spring I need if I were to go that route?

Thank in advanced, ive been a reader for years....you've helped more people than you know.

Looking at RockAuto for your vehicle, it shows there's a few options for loaded struts (they're different depending on whether or not you have 4WD, otherwise I'd link them).

I ended up going with just a new strut (along with the strut mount, bushing, and coil insulator) because I heard that the Bilsteins provide some of the best ride. I went with the Bilstein 4600, which is stock height (I ordered these on Amazon -- be wary, many will show two struts in the picture even though it only includes one). You can also go with the Bilstein 5100s, which are adjustable, allowing you to have stock height or raise it if you end up doing a lift in the rear.

Ride height is typically springs and struts improve the ride. I'm guessing the Bilstein 5100s are able to adjust where the spring is mounted on the strut, but I haven't looked at it close enough.

If you have the stock springs it should keep you at stock height. If the springs are from something else, your ride height could be affected. RockAuto should have springs available as well if you feel you need to replace them. Mine didn't look pretty (a bit of rust on them), but otherwise, the still functioned normally, so I kept the originals and just upgraded everything else.
